MEET OUR
SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Poungkram School was established by Dr. Sopin Wiriyaphanich (ดร.โสภิณ วิริยะพาณิชย์) in 1992.

It started off as semi daycare and homeschool, with 10 children of UN colleagues and 2 facilitators before growing into one of the biggest schools in Sa Kaeo, with approximately 1,900 students at its peak.

Prior to establishing the School, Dr. Sopin has gained close to two decades of her development experience through working for international organizations and the United Nations Border Relief Operation (UNBRO).

She had held position as an Education Officer, leading the humanitarian crisis response and advocacy for sustainable development for children and their families in refugee camps along the Thai - Kampuchea Border.

Besides working as a school director, Dr. Sopin also works in senior management and strategic leadership roles with different institutions in both public and private sector i.e. Local Government Administration (LGA) and Burapha University, Sa Kaeo Campus.

Dr. Sophin Viriyapanich holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Administration from the Faculty of Education, Burapha University, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Silpakorn University (majoring in English and minoring in French), and a Master of Education (Ph.D.) in Educational Administration.
